SAP System Copy on Oracle database


Check the Box and click on 'Next'


 Check 'Install database software only' and Next


 Check on first box and click Next


 Choose Language and Next

Select Enterprise Edition and Next


Choose Create Windows user option for new installation of Oracle on host (As we have already Oracle installed on host for some other instance) or else check Existing Windows User option.


Provide the path for Oracle base and software location. Generally, we give \oracle\<SID>\
ex: F:\oracle\<SID>\ for base location
      F:\oracle\<SID>\product\12.1.0\dbhome_<number)

 Check for summary, if anything needs to be change click on Edit and continue further


 Look for the phases during Oracle installation.


Now, Oracle installation is finished


Now, start Export of reference data, here mine is PRD (for example purpose only)


 Choose Export Preparation here, Next


 Give profile directory path of reference system here


 Enter the password, Next


 Enter the database SID of reference system that needs to be exported


 Provide path for Export Location of PRD data to store.


 Check for the source and Target system parameters and give relevant data.


 Check for Generate db size file, Next

 Select and Next


 Check and Next


 Check and Next


 Summary for check and Next


Phases for Export Preparation.


 Choose OK.


Check for size of Export Preparation directory (for checking purpose only)


Now, Choose Database Instance Export option for actual DB data export.

 Follow the below steps, Read carefully and enter the required Parameters as needed.


Provide password for source reference system


Enter the source database SID and database host


Give Export Location that you maintained previously.

Now, stop SAP system

Once check for the size of directory of export data



Now, start Target system installation


Give SID for target system to get installed.


Provide kernel directory path and Next

Enter database SID and Next


Provide Migration Export LABEL.ASC path and continue


Choose Destination path for relevant directories and Next


Provide the DB Home path of the oracle that you provided and installed during stating of this topic above.


Provide Oracle O.S service user you defined before
